Welland, Ontario
The Welland Public Library main branch, located in downtown Welland, has served visitors since it opened as a new facility in 2005. RAAI was engaged by the City of Welland in 2019 to renovate Welland's main library branch to better serve visitors and improve staff safety. The scope of work included the reorientation of the service desk and new millwork, new durable carpet tile throughout the entire library that replaced the aging carpet, new vinyl plank flooring in high-traffic areas, a new location for the 3D printing station and a refresh of the staff offices and workspaces.
Completed on time and on budget in early 2020, the successful renovations offer a new inviting entry into the library and a better overall customer experience.
