Niagara Falls, Ontario
This project consisted of two hotels joined by a common lobby, pool and amenity area. The first phase, a five story 96 room building was added to an existing structure, which was renovated to accommodate the swimming pool, lobby, and amenity area. The second phase, a 150 room, 16 storey high rise was then added to the opposite side with a new larger lobby, ground restaurants, retail, and a basement laundry facility to serve the entire complex. The unusual "wedge shape" design of the highrise allowed a narrow window of views to the Niagara River and Falls to be maximized. The total 181,000 square feet project was completed in 2001.
