Lakeshore Catholic High School

This addition at Lakeshore Catholic was the third addition over the life of the existing building. This expansion project consisted of a 10 classroom addition utilizing the existing undervalued courtyard. This move reconciled the front facade of the school both aesthetically and from a street-scape perspective. By redeveloping the paved courtyard the existing green space on the site could be preserved and remain unaffected. The addition included a new entrance to the existing 600 seat auditorium with a signature canopy to demarcate the entrance. A large double height crush space was added for gathering at intermissions. New lighting to create a safer pedestrian realm and new bike racks to encourage student and staff alternative transportation were also added.
