Chippawa, Ontario
Originally an abandoned industrial warehouse for Kaumeyer Paper, the client purchased this property in 2015 and was seeking revitalization and change of use from industrial to residential and commercial occupancies. Completed in 2017, the 13,600 square foot building was successful in the conversation of the buildings into new commercial and residential condominiums. The site was redeveloped with landscaped site works, and services, with parking added for the residences. Historical and traditional underlying architectural themes, including PVC siding with fields of existing brick and cultured stone masonry, were added to sections of the exterior. Located along the Main Street Square in downtown Chippawa, this project was extremely well received and has become a catalyst for downtown redevelopment in the area.
