Chili Jiao

Affectionately known for many years as the Red Rooster, the Chili Jiao renovation project was completed in 2018. The colours and Chinese symbols of good fortune were effortlessly incorporated into the new design. Early on a need for the authentic Szechuan and Dim Sum cuisine to be the focus of the restaurant, was expressed. The design team sought to create a harmonious environment in line with Chinese Zen ideologies. The focus was on establishing the perfect marriage of contemporary style with cultural significance. The minimalist aesthetic is referenced with natural elements like wood, stone, water and foliage and is contrasted with hints of gold and pops of deep red. Heritage influences on the Chinese screens and tea pots balance the clean look.
