Certified LEED Silver the Merrittville Highway Emergency Medical Services response station officially opened in July 2015. We worked closely with EMS and Regional Government representatives to maximize space and provide a healthy and comfortable environment for responders. The exterior is contextual with a durable low maintenance material palette of brick masonry and cement panels. The compact 3,470 square foot footprint contains three drive-through ambulance bays with radiant floor heating, under aapparatus trench drains and epoxy floor system. The 1,414 square foot crew quarters is comprised of report rooms, open concept kitchen/lounge, locker room, F.A.D. compliant washrooms, and mechanical and storage spaces. The project was completed under budget in an 8 month construction schedule.
